IELTS Academic vs. IELTS General

The right test type depends on your purpose — studying abroad or migrating for work.

🎓 IELTS Academic

Taken by students who want to pursue higher education or professional training in foreign countries. It includes similar modules — Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking — but with a higher difficulty level compared to the General test.

✈️ IELTS General

Typically for those heading to English-speaking countries for secondary education, work experience, or training programs. It's also often a visa requirement for migrating to Australia, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand.

Results are accepted in Australia, Canada, USA, UK, and New Zealand, remain valid for two years, and are typically declared within 13 days of the test date.
